December 2009
Most work parties are finished for the season and we had some very helpful members that did a great job. Thank you all. We still have signs to put up but a few people can easily do that and if Ray needs help he will let you know.
Snow has arrived and the trails should be opening soon The gates are still up at this time so if you decide to ride be aware and drive safely around the gates. Being early in the season be very careful out on the trails as there are several obstacles that could be in the way like tree limbs, Rocks, and any other debris that falls when its windy. Groomers will be out and running as soon as we get enough snow. The BR 110 was having a windshield installed and everything else is ready to roll on the BR 180,S. One will be heading to Bear Brook State Park for the winter while the other one stays at the clubhouse and does the trails around Tower Hill the Maze, and The Rockingham Rec Trail. Please use caution on the trails as they may be out at any time of day or night.
We are having a meeting early before the General Meeting Monday on the 21st to ask for volunteers to sell memberships and registrations at Hk Power Sports and Motorcycles of Manchester so if you are interested please come early next monday. The General Membership Meeting starts at 7.00pm. 200 Club Tickets are on sale 29 more to sell please help out by purchasing one.
Club Rides begin on the 18th hopefully we will keep the snow we have. We also have a Sunday Morning Breakfast Club Ride which begins at 8.00am at the Longbranch. Please get there early enough to unload your sleds and get dressed in time for the 8am departure time. Also please have your sleds gas and oil reservoirs filled to capacity.
We are having a Winterfest and Bonfire on Saturday January 9th from 4 to 9pm. We are having a catered meal as always and hope you can join us on this memorable event. It was very popular last year and has replaced the traditional Christmas Party.
The Pittsburg Club Trip is rapidly approaching. You can see Jack Langridge at the meeting to see if the event is sold out. Its always a great time and a great place to get acquainted with members.
Last but not least the Board of Directors wants to wish each and every member and their families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years and a Safe riding season
