February 2010 forecast calls for no snow through at least this weekend and trails are officially closed. Pray for the white stuff please. 200 club will have 4 weeks of drawings at the February Meeting. You don,t have to be present to be a winner and in all you have 60 chances of being a winner this year, At the meeting we will have nomination of officers. If you are interested in running please be at the meeting or submit your name to a board member. Grooming will begin as soon as we get a good accumulation of snow until then please stay off of the trail system. We will be putting together a northern club ride for family members in the near future if the snow drought continues. Ray Philibotte is at the clubhouse every friday from 6 to 9 pm . If you are interested in helping with he signs please just drop in your help is appreciated. Dianne Kimball is at the clubhouse every Saturday Morning from 9 to 12pm to take membership applications and to register your sleds. According to Dianne the membership now stands well over 600 for this season. I think that if we would have had a snowfilled season we might have broken the 1000 member barrier. Joe Champagne and Rick DiOrio are at the clubhouse every Saturday Morning. If you have a few hours I am sure they could put you to work. Work Party is Scheduled for Saturday February 13, 2010. Will meet at the clubhouse at 8am. Will be brushing out trails and removing trees from the trails in Bear Brook State Park. Bring: gloves, warm clothing, hand saws, clippers and if you have an ATV. Please email me or call me if you can help The Candia Boys Scout troop has been at the clubhouse on weekends selling food for their upcoming jamboree this summer. Unfortunately snow conditions have been terrible for them. Hopefully we can salvage a couple of good weeks in the next month to help their effort. Please support this worthy cause and as soon as we receive the white stuff come on in to the Clubhouse while you sre riding out on our trail system. The Boys Scouts will appreciate it. Club Ride Leader Ray Philibotte is looking for a volunteer to film a club ride this winter. He has the Video Camera. We just need the snow.
