First ride of the season and a new place to eat. We will travel to the town of Epping by way of Tower Hill Pond looping around the pond toward the Railroad Bed. Then down the Railroad bed through the towns of Auburn, Candia, Raymond and finally to our destination. Last year we ended up at Wendy’s but this year we will go to the Walmart Plaza and find a parking spot to eat at Appleby’s which is across Route 125. On our way back if things go good we will make a loop around the Maze and then back to the clubhouse.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 20, 2009 8.00AM

TRAIL RIDE TO RAYMOND

This morning’s ride takes us on a favorite run. Again we will be going down the Railroad bed and through the usual towns of Auburn, Candia, Raymond. Trails are usually very smooth and all of these clubs have been doing a great job the last couple of years. We are eating at the Longbranch Restaurant and the group always love this establishment its always a great time and please bring the kids on this one _____________________________________________________________

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 23, 2009, 6;30PM

 RIDE TO CONTOOCOOK

We will meet at the ATV Parking lot at Clough State Park. It’s off of Route 13 in Dunbarton . For new members we will meet in the town of Goffstown at the intersection of Route 114 and 13 at the Sully’s Supermarket and trailer in together. Please meet at 5.45 at the latest. Our ride is very different and more remote than on our trail system. Our ride first takes through a nice loop inside the park and down to the river. Then after that we will go across the Hopkington Dam, and get a look at Pats Peak all light up its quite a site. Then we will go through the Contoocook Trail system and a railroad bed that is groomed with a Scandic and they do a decent job. We will then eat at Dimitris in the center of town before heading back. It’s a short ride but just right for a Wednesday night. _____________________________________________________________

SUNDAY DECEMBER 27, 2009, 7;00AM

TRAIL RIDE TO BAKER RIVER

We will meet at the Liquor Store which is after the toll booth on interstate 93. Breakfast is at exit 20 at the Tilton Diner for those who are a little late you can meet us there. We are heading to the Baker River Snowmobile Club Parking lot which is off of Old Dorchester Road. It’s off of Route 25. Our ride will take us through some beautiful Mountains and we are heading to Canaan if conditions warrant it. This is our first expert ride of the season and I would not recommend any children or adults that want a liesurely ride this is not it. We will eat the the Canaan House 0f Pizza and its right on the trail system you cant miss it. On our way back we might do a different loop depending on the conditions of the trails you have to remember it’s early in the season and who knows what to expect on the trails. _______________________________________________________________

SATURDAY JANUARY 2, 2010, 12;00AM

NOVICE RIDE TO AUBURN

First novice ride of the season and a good time for club members who just took a safety course to get some riding experience. We are riding to the town of Auburn to lake Massabesic and then back to the clubhouse a short little ride. The clubhouse will be open with food and beverage like hamburgers and hot dogs as well as coffee, hot chocolate plus some munchies. I will bring a few movies for kids to choose by then I might have Ice Age three. My caboose will also be hooked up for anyone wanting to put the little ones for a short ride.

FRIDAY JANUARY 8, 2010, 6;30PM

 TRAIL RIDE TO SALEM

First club ride to Salem and one of the clubs favorite night rides of the season. We go straight down to the Railroad Bed and go through several towns like Auburn, Candia, Raymond, Epping Fremont, Derry, Sandown, Windham and finally to Salem. It’s all Rail riding nice and smooth but it is a very long ride and not recommended for Children as a matter of fact it’s an Adult ride and we go at a brisk pace all night long. We will eat at the Alley Cat Bar and Grill. The length of the ride is 80 plus miles and we will get in at the wee hours of the morning 2 Am. Please have a full tank of gas and have your fluids filled to capacity and be there by 6 to get ready to leave by 6.30. This is a must for this ride ________________________________________________________________

SUNDAY JANUARY 10, 2010, 8;00AM

BREAKFAST RIDE TO EPSOM

This morning’s ride to Epsom we will be traveling through our system through Bear Brook State Park and head directly to Crystals at the Epsom Traffic Circle by way of Primary Trail 136. We will be going through the Fort Mountain Trail Winders system and lately their trails are very well groomed with a Scandik. It’s a pleasurable ride and there is some single track riding which is a lot of fun but you do work a little harder. We will be eating at The Circle Restaurant and we haven’t been there since it was called Billy’s several years ago when the building had a fire. After breakfast we will do the loop around and that means the Trail Dawg’s system will be our ride . Once we get back to Bear Brook we will do a few loops and go up Hall Mountain on our way back to the clubhouse.. Have a full tank of gas and have your fluids filled to capacity and be there a bit early to get dressed and have the sleds unloaded and ready to go. ____________________________________________________________

THURSDAY THRU SUNDAY JANUARY 14/17, 2010, 6;00AM

ANNUAL CLUB TRIP TO PITTSBURG

With such a large crowd going many people will make their own plans on when they are leaving. Some might be going up Wednesday while others may pick Thursday or even Friday morning for that matter. We will be staying at the Mountain View Cabins and we will be having different rides for all levels I am sure. Check with Jack Langridge for all the details. There will be a dinner at the Pittsburg Ridge Runners club house Saturday evening please make reservations for that. Riding in Pittsburg is quite an adventure with almost 225 miles of well groomed trails. A full house is again expected and rides to different areas are in the works. It should be a blast again this year so make your reservations early. ___________________________________________________________

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 20, 2010, 8;00AM

 CLUB RIDE TO NORTHWOOD

This weekday morning ride to Northwood we will be a first for the club. We again will be traveling through our system through Bear Brook State Park and head east towards Northwood. We will be going through the Fort Mountain Trail Winders system and also be going through Deerfield as well. It’s an expert ride and there is some single track riding and we will be on Corridor 17 eventually which is very nicely groomed. We will be eating at the famed Johnson’s Dairy Bar. It’s a great Restaurant and we have never been there on a club ride but I have eaten there several times both by car and Snowmobile and they had great food every time I went. After Dinner we will do the loop around and try to go to the Railroad Bed by the power lines near Pawtuckaway State Park. I haven’t made the loop in years and we might not even make it but I will pre ride it and see how conditions on the power lines are. Once back on the Railroad bed it’s a straight shot back to the clubhouse. Have a full tank of gas and have your fluids filled to capacity and be there a bit early to get dressed and have the sleds unloaded and ready to go. ___________________________________________________________

FRIDAY JANUARY 22, 2010, 6;30PM

CLUB RIDE TO EPSOM

Happy Family Chinese Restaurant here we come. I expect a big crowd tonight as this is another favorite ride for the club. We will be doing a nice loop down lost trail in Bear Brook State Park and then head straight through the parking lot and follow Corridor 15 which is groomed by the Trail Dawgs. If we get a real big turnout we can divide it into two groups one can take Primary Trail 136 and the other Corridor 15 that would be a blast we then would meet at the Restaurant. After we continue the loop back through Bear Brook State Park and take the Archery Trail back to the Club House. What a ride and what a night it will be. Fill the sleds up with gas and fluids and get ready to rock and roll. See you there. ___________________________________________________________

SUNDAY JANUARY 24, 2010, 8;00AM

CLUB RIDE TO SUNAPEE

This morning we are reviving a ride we did over a decade ago. We will be going through towns like Washington, Bradford, Warner and Newbury where we will get a bite to eat. The restaurant is not known yet I will do research and let you know in the fall. It is a pretty scenic ride and there are a lot of wild animals to be seen especially turkeys. We might do a loop around Mt Kearsarge it all depends on trail conditions at the time. We will meet at the ATV Parking lot at the Dunbarton Entrance of Clough State Park and hope to see many of you at this ride. Be prepared with a full tank of gas and have the fluids filled to capacity this is a remote area.

FRIDAY JANUARY 29, 2010 6.30 PM

TRAIL RIDE TO EPPING

Our ride tonight will take us down the Railroad Bed and after a loop Around Tower Hill and The Maze we will head to Epping and eat at Wendy’s Restaurant. It’s right on Route 125 but we will park our sleds and walk across the street for safety purposes. This is a good family run so bring the kids and wife along they will really enjoy it. Be ready to Roll at 6.30 please with a full tank of gas and top off your fluids. If you come early enough there is a gas station not far from the club house on Club Trail 4.

SUNDAY JANUARY 31, 2010, 9;00AM

CLUB RIDE BEAR BROOK STATE PARK

A nice family paced ride to Bear Brook State Park and at the same time we will do a loop or two around the park. Then we will head back down to Tower Hill and head back to Manchester. Now we might eat at Golden Rod Restaurant or we might try the new Chinese Restaurant on Page street. After dinner we will go to the Maze and do a loop which is an adventure for most. It’s a a different start time because we are having dinner instead of Breakfast. Hope to see you there and be ready. ____________________________________________________________

THURSDAY/SUNDAY FEBRUARY 4/7, 2010, 6;00AM

EASTER SEALS RIDE-IN

We will be leaving from the Clubhouse if we have enough snow. With a coordinated effort we have to bring our sleds to the clubhouse and leave them there and get a ride to the clubhouse Thursday morning or we can get permission form the board and sleep at the clubhouse Wednesday evening which I think is a better idea. We also have to have a trailer up at the motel we are going to stay at for the Ride-In .to get us back home after the festivities Sunday. It sounds difficult but we always did it in the 80,s so I will call a special meeting this fall. We will leave at 6am sharp on Thursday morning and head north up corridor 15 through Bear Brook State Park and to the Epsom Traffic Circle and have breakfast. After that we will head east and hook up to Corridor 17 and then head to Gilmanton and Belmont and finally to Meredith Bay for Dinner at one of their establishment. After dinner its on to Corridor trail 11 through the towns of Sanbornton Ashland, Plymouth and on into Lincoln where we will stay at the Indian Head Resort. for the evening. Friday we can have breakfast in town and then onto Bethlehem and Twin Mountain. From Twin Mountain the fun really begins and we head into the Great Northwoods where the trails are the best. On to the Railroad Bed and into Gorham and north to Berlin where we will get a bite to eat. After we go right through Berlin and on Corridor tail 112, then to Milan and on to Errol.. From there it’s corridor 18 and Coarser Brook Trail to Swift Diamond then a left on 34 and a straight shot to the Balsams and where there. The weekend festivities begin and the famed resort has a swimming pool and great food. The ride-In committee will have plenty for all to keep it interesting like a comedy night, a Penny Sale, and I think a fireworks display. I don’t know if they have a torchlight parade but if they do that is fun. We might have some that want to ride Saturday and we can get something organized that we can play by ear. After the Sunday breakfast and awards hopefully we go home and our trailers will all be there. _________________________________________________________________________________________

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2010, 6;30PM

TRAIL RIDE TO SALEM

Second club ride to Salem and one of the clubs favorite night rides of the season. We will eat at the Alley Cat Bar and Grill again and the length of the ride is 80 plus miles and we will get in at the wee hours of the morning 2 Am. Please have a full tank of gas and have your fluids filled to capacity and be there by 6 to get ready to leave by 6.30. This is a must for this ride __________________________________________________________________________________________

We are riding to the town of Auburn to the Maze and then back to the clubhouse ride. I will bring a few movies for kids to choose by then I might have some new animated cartoon features. My caboose will also be hooked up for anyone wanting to put the little ones for a short ride.

Last year this was the best ride of the season in the Southern part of the state. We had 10 make it last year and I bet more will show up this time around. We leave at 8 sharp so please get there early to unload and have your tanks filled its a long ride with gas on the way but at about the 50 mile marker before our first gas stop.

We would like to try to Make it to the Peak as the views are breathtaking. After that we head back to the Railroad bed and we will eat at Alans Restaurant. If we can't make breakfast it will be dinner. One problem is there is limited parking so get there early and we will try to squish the trailers in

WEDNESDAY MARCH 10, 2010, 8:00AM

  CLUB RIDE TO SUNAPEE

I haven't done this rid en a while but it was a good ride years ago and I am sure trails have improved since that time. Again meet at the ATV Parking lot in Clough State Park. Instead of going East we will head West towards Henniker, and go through the towns of Washington, Bradford and Newbury to name a few of the towns. We should be able to find a good restaurant in the area. Last time we were right in the cove at the Newbury part of the lake. I will update when the date gets closer.

FRIDAY MARCH 12, 2010, 6;30PM

 CLUB RIDE TO SALEM

This will be our last ride to Salem of the season that is if we even have snow by then. Its an adult ride and not a family ride so unless the kids are real tough ones I would not recommend it. The usual rail riding at its best and the Willow Tree Restaurant which we all love. Come and join us for a festive evening. They even put us in the lounge one year so we could listen to the music.

______________________________________________

   SUNDAY MARCH 14, 2010, 7:00AM

CLUB RIDE TO BAKER RIVER

Our usual meeting destination at the Liquor store on interstate 93 and north we go. We will grab a bite to eat either at the Tilton Diner or at Dunkin Donuts in Plymouth and then head to the Baker River Club House parking lot. From there we will head north and go to Littleton and a breathtaking look of the town from atop a big hill then on to Twin and we will either eat in Littleton or in Twin Mountain at the 7 Dwarfs. Then on our loop back we will go through the Bike Path and into Lincoln. We will take the new trail from Woodstock to Warren and hopefully this year it will be groomed, last year I thought we were on Mars. Should be an enjoyable experience for all.

   FRIDAY MARCH 19, 2010, 6:30PM

CLUB RIDE TO EPSOM

Our last trip to the Happy Family Chinese Restaurant this season. Always a club favorite and hopefully we still have enough snow for this one. Again as usual we will go through Bear Brook State Park but a straight shot without any loops so we can get there early enough to eat early. We will take the Fort Mountain Trail Winders system on our way to the Restaurant and on our way back we will go on the Trail Dawgs System to make it interesting. When we get to Bear Brook on our way home we can then do a loop around Archery Trail and one around Lost Trail. It should be an interesting evening. See you all at about 6pm at the Clubhouse Parking lot.

   WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY MARCH 23,24, 2010, 7:00AM

Then up Charlies Trail and back  through Squeeze Hole Trail and back to the motel for a nice Dinner in Town. On Thursday we will have breakfast at the Northern Exposure. Then we can take Coarser Brook  by way of Buffalo Trail and head for Pittsburg. A favorite trail of mine is when we get to the old Robbers Roost intersection we bang a right on 112 its a great trail nice and long and smooth. We can go to the East Inlet and come down Corridor 141 or 142 head down to Pittsburg for lunch. Gas up first at Youngs and have Lunch at Happy Corner Restaurant. On our way back to Errol we will head down Corridor 5 to Corridor 134 the Swift Diamond Trail Corridor 18 and again hit Squeeze Hole Trail back to Errol for a great two day ride.
