Electronic Key Card System
Begining Jan 1, 2004 the SNHSS facilities will be secured using an electronic key card. The old keys can no longer be used for the north gate or clubhouse. The south gate can still be opened using the old keys. You can get a new card from Dianne Kimball at any general meeting.
We are no longer using the FOBS because we have received a batch that have failed. If you have a FOB and it continues to work you should fine. The original FOBs we receieved seem to ok, some of the newer ones have failed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a new key card? Send Dianne Kimball $10 for a key card. You must have a valid membership in order to receive a key card. Please plan ahead so this can be done via mail instead of at a club meeting. Her address is 26 B Raymond Rd. Deerfield, NH 03037, and her E-Mail address is dianne.kimball@verizon.net.
How do I open doors and gates with the new key card? Simply place the card in close proximity to the black readers. The light will turn green if the card was successfully read.
Why was the new key card system implemented? With our recent increase in membership, distributing keys was becoming very time consuming. It was also very difficult getting the gate open especially in the dark. Once implemented, this new system will make managing keys much easier. The gate is now operated by a magnetic latch is now very easy to operate.
What if I receive a red light when I scan my card? A red light indicates that an individual is not authorized to gain access to a specific area. There are several reasons why this may occur: 1) the individual no longer has an active access to the club facilities, 2) the card may be malfunctioning, 3) the card may have been reported lost or stolen and deactivated. A cardholder that receives a red light when swiping the card should contact Dianne Kimball.
Who has access to reader information? Swiping activity, which is recorded at the readers, is only used for official club business. Access to this information is highly restricted. This information is used to ensure that the clubhouse and parking lot remain secure.
How can I best secure my key Card? It is important to secure your card at all times. Carry your key card securely on your person, just as you would a credit or bankcard. Don't leave your card lying around in public places such as restaurants.
How can I avoid damaging my key Card? Carrying your key card in a secure manner will safeguard against loss and damage. Some good tips to follow are:
- Keep your card clean and safe. Carry it in a card holder or wallet divider.
Avoid bending your card, do not punch holes, add stickers, or otherwise alter your key card.
What should I do with my old key? Keep them as a backup since they will still open the south gate.
Will the key card system still operate when the power goes out? Yes, the system has a battery back up and can operate for extended periods without AC power.
What if I lose or damage my key card? If your key card is lost, stolen or damaged, you must report it immediately to Dianne Kimball. If your card is lost or stolen you can receive a new one for a charge of $15.
Will my key card from my office open the clubhouse? No, each card has a unique number. That number must match the number stored in our clubhouse system for it to work. Attempting to use your office key card or Speedpass will not harm our system in any way...it just wont open the door.
The readers are only capable of reading a single card at a time. Many people store their key cards in their wallet and simply wave the wallet in front of the reader. This may not work if the wallet has more than one key card in it. For those that have the key fob, Speedpass fobs and car keys with chips in them may also interfere with the reader. When in doubt remove the card from your wallet (or remove the key fob from your keychain) and place it near the reader.
